Over the last two decades as a small business owner, I became fascinated by local economies and the communities that shape them. I found my passion in movements that reform capital systems and democratize work places. I'm inspired by employee ownership, circular economies and incorruptible businesses.
I work with clients doing some of the most innovative work in those areas including Project Equity, The Industrial Commons, Great Game of Business, Purpose Trust Ownership Network and others.
I use the camera to tell the story of humans living and working in these fields and the lives shaped by these movements. I use interactive data visualizations to illustrate the issues we're facing, work that is progressing around those issues.
I'm based in Asheville, North Carolina in the heart of Appalachia. I also tell stories of my home, document my region and the humans that live here. I love the South.
